What's New as of 11-30-2011 Since I do not often update this site, I thought I would make it a little easier to find out if there is anything new on the site.
Lots of new guns and ammo. Pricing will beat almost all on guns and ammo. Swamped with sales and classes - we try to add more news later! Best bet is to stop in!
It is now the end of November and activity continues to build. We have been doing up to three classes per week and sales have been brisk.
I have also been trying to renovate the indoor range room. We hope to have a new heating system and a retractable target system soon.
Quite of few new guns including the Diamondbacks, Ranch Hands, and different guns with lasers built in. The 380 guns are still our best seller but many people are also buying the new small 9mm.
Ammo prices are actually coming DOWN a little if you like some of the foreign manufacturers like S&B, PMC, etc. Lots of good reviews on the foregoing for range ammo.
Stop by when you can.
Old News
We have a small supply of parts kits for the PPS43. These kits include all the parts for the automatic PPS43 with the exception of the trunnion, barrel, and upper receiver which has been cut per BATF instructions. You also get 4 more 35 round magazines, cleaning rod and oil/solvent tin. For the 36 of you who have bought the semi-auto (ATF approved) PPS43C from us, this kit of spare parts could prove valuable. Cost is $89.
Handgun ammo has started to creap up in price again. I have a good supply of most calibers. Keep on the lookout for sales (Cabelas, etc). Currently our prices are just UNDER Wal-Mart pricing.
Our LCT events are well underway (just completed our second event). The next LCT event is July 17th. Most of the people who take my carry permit classes actually believe that they will "rise to the occasion should they encounter a life threatening situation". In reality, they will default to their level of training! ARE YOU READY???
1. THE PPS 43'S ARE IN! We were able to get 14 of these in our initial allocation. At least 11 of you have money down or have one reserved for you - you can come and pick them up at any time.
For those of you who are saying "what the h@!! is a PPS 43?", the PPS 43 was a sub machine gun built by Russia in 1942 due to a request for a smaller compact sub machine gun that could be carried by paratroopers, in tanks, etc. The PPS 43 was a derivative of the PPSh-41 which had a wood stock and longer barrel. The PPS43 has a top folding stock and a 10 inch barrel. Since this is registered as a pistol, the folding stock must be fixed permanently into its folded position. It would be quite easy to fix the stock to its original configuration once you have paid the $200 SBR fee. The real beauty of this gun is that it shoots the 7.62 X 25 round which I sell in 1260 round tins for $129 (about 10 cents a round!). It comes with a cleaning rod and FOUR 35 round magazines. This gun has been permanently converted to a semi auto operation.
For the intial 12 we received, we are selling them at $359 (we got a discount on the inital 12). Subsequent sales will be at $389.
The COOL factor on this gun is awesome. I will try and post a picture here as soon as I can.
2. Lots of new handguns in stock. The Bersa 380's now come in a configuration that has a Crimson Trace laser already mounted. You save about $30 by buying them together than separately.
3. Currently we have a good supply of the S&W 380 Bodyguards at $369. These are one of the hottest guns out there!
4. Unfortunately the domestic manufacturers of ammo are all raising their prices. :-( The increase runs from 6-15%. Might not be a bad time to pick up a little extra for the LCT events this summer. Some people ask why the Carry Depot does not carry more domestic manufacturers of ammunition? Two reasons, price and quality! For normal plinking and range ammo, we are really impressed with the S&B and PMC (PMC does a lot of Winchesters ammo) lines. For self defense ammo, we do carry the best domestic (Hornady, Cordon, Golden Sabre, Federal) lines.
Old News: 1. Due to Glocks new MAP (minimum advertised pricing), I can no longer advertise my Glock prices on this site. Call or email for some fantastic pricing!
Our ammo racks are full (including 380, 45acp, and 45lc). We now have gift certificates for that special someone (yes, you can buy one for yourself!).
1919A4 semi-auto rifles have been selling well. The 1919A4 was a full auto machine gun used from WWII through Vietnam. These guns have been converted to semi-auto by approved ATF specs. The "cool" factor of these guns is fantastic.
Winter hours are roughly 9AM-5PM Tue-Sat. It is recommended that you call before coming out as I may be training students.
We will definitely be closed on Sunday and Monday unless by chance (I am in the shop about 90% of the time) or appointment.
Right now our selection of guns is about the best we have ever had - stop by and take a look!
Carry classes and Womens' non-firearm classes are really booking fast. Remember, we only need 3 people to schedule a carry class (if you have a fourth, all new permittees get a $10 discount, $70 instead of $80 - all renewals are only $60)!
If you don't have your own group, call or email and we will put you on a notification list of classes coming up.

Since 2003, Pioneer Industries has been providing handgun training to the public. Our training is offered for recreational purposes as well as for self-defense reasons. In addition to providing the mandatory training in order to apply for a Minnesota Carry Permit, we can also provide the training/certification/documents in order to apply for a Utah or Florida carry permit. The adding of just one non-resident permit can give one the right to carry in many additional states.
In addition to our firearms training, we offer our popular non-firearm self-defense training for women. Please check the information for this class in the "Classes" section of this site.

In offering our training programs, it has become common for our students to ask us to provide suggestions as to what equipment and accessories to use. Since many of these suggestions involve firearms and where to acquire them, we decided to acquire our Federal Firearms License (FFL) in 2005. After acquiring our FFL, we established "The Carry Depot" store from which we sell firearms and accessory items. These accessory items include holsters, handgun safes, sights, ammunition, storage cases, cleaning supplies and miscellaneous items. In order to provide you with the best possible pricing, WE DO NOT ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS. Thanks for your understanding.

In our efforts to make Pioneer Industries, The Carry Depot store and this site a success, we encourage all viewers to make constructive suggestions as to how we can better serve you. Thanks!
